One of our many roles as a teacher is to be that of a life long learner…we should never stop learning, seeking to better ourselves and the environment within which we work. The key to teaching with passion and vigour is to continually seek new ideas and stretch our creativity in the classroom. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to bring my classroom and teaching to life, as well as effective ways to manage difficult behaviour and maintain control. A happy, well organised and structured classroom goes a loooooong way.

Let’s face it, we all have those days when we feel so overwhelmed that it’s hard to stay focused on what it truly means to be a teacher…just how much of a difference we are really making. I’d like to share with you some “food for the soul” that got me through many a difficult day and reminded me that I matter too. When your cup is filled, only then can you let it overflow into the lives of others and truly give of your best. Your health and well being is just as important! Be kind to yourself.
